Editorial Policy
The Sector Post publishes independent SOC 2 compliance research, vendor comparisons, audit cost analysis, and startup security buying guides. Our goal is to help readers make better procurement and implementation decisions.
We synthesize public vendor documentation, product positioning, buyer feedback patterns, disclosed pricing ranges, and common SOC 2 implementation requirements. When pricing is based on market signals rather than official public pricing, we describe it as directional.
For vendor comparisons, we evaluate fit by company stage, framework scope, implementation burden, auditor workflow, integrations, support model, and total cost of ownership.
Commercial relationships do not determine rankings, conclusions, or whether criticism is included. Vendors cannot buy positive coverage. If a page may generate referral or partner revenue, we disclose that relationship.
- We separate editorial judgment from commercial relationships.
- We label directional pricing and avoid presenting buyer-reported ranges as guaranteed quotes.
- We update material pages when vendor positioning, pricing, or SOC 2 requirements change.
- We correct factual issues when readers, vendors, or auditors point out credible evidence.
